Giving this place a solid 4 stars. We came by this place walking down the street while on spring break with our friends and kids. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor space to dine and the vibes were great. We love that they were kid friendly, giving the kids some paper and crayons to use while the adults mingled. The servers were attentive and friendly. The food was good. We got wings to share and did half buffalo and half sriracha maple glaze. Both were flavorful and hit the spot while we drank. We also got the Brussels sprouts and sweet potato side. That was definitely an interesting combo for sure. It came topped with pomegranate and really just too sweet for us. Sounded tasty when we ordered but due to the sweetness, it was a bit much especially when drinking. The drinks were good and the shots were pretty interesting in sizes. First round came in actual shot cups while the second round came in different cups. Not sure why it wasn't in shot cups but it didn't matter since we were all vibing and having a great time there. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.

The staff here is amazing. Specifically Norma and Jazz. I was walking downtown with my pup and saw the game I was listening to was on. I sat down and enjoyed a beer while watching the game. I'll come back soon to try their food and update my review. If you're looking to watch a game, they have all the channels and were able to find my niche game and play it on the tv near me.

This was our first food stop in San Diego! We needed a spot to enjoy the good weather and watch the ball game. This was perfect for doing just that. The outdoor seating area is really nice and we were able to easily see the television for the game son either side of the table. Staff are very attentive and helpful. The food was fine. It wasn't impressive but it was good. Sometimes simplicity is best. Those seasoned fries that came with my burger were pretty delicious though my son had a flatbread pizza that he quite enjoyed and my husband had gumbo which he found to be good as well. The drinks were on point. Highly recommend getting a spicy margarita!!

We just came here for a few drinks but service was great and fast and we didn't have any food! It did smell good and the seating was nice sitting outside!! I don't know if I'd come back for the food just based off other reviews but we will see!

Was in San Diego for a conference and thought i'd get a quick snack in the hotel next door. I got the mashed potatoes which were good and the bacon brussels sprouts with a lot of syrup. The service was very fast. And I went on a thursday night i believe and there was trivia. Really fun and exciting topics

My sister was visiting and this was one of the places where we dined during her visit. Comfortable, casual, atmosphere. Location is terrific (5th St in the Gaslamp District) which is near the ball park, the convention center, (and most importantly to me) my condo! It was a slow afternoon and the bartender was also our waiter. He was nice enough, not great at multitasking, but we got our questions answered and things were done as we asked. I had the BLTA sans that aioli - it was really good, a little dry without the aioli but I'm allergic to egg so I had to skip it. Their avocado was more like a guacamole, so it helped it from being too dry. They have Shrimp & Grits on the menu, usually that's what I go for when I see it - not sure why I didn't this time, but will def try it next time. The hubs had a burger and he thoroughly enjoyed that. I totally don't remember what my sister had, but know that she was happy with her food, too. They've got fabulous seating outdoors, if you're in the mood and quite often I see that street closed (like maybe weekends? I haven't really paid that much attention to 'when' they close the streets, just that it is often when I pass by). Will I go again? Absolutely. Do I suggest you go? Again, a solid 'yes' from me. Thanks for reading my review!

Came here 2 times within the span of a week during a time of a conference at the Convention Center. The first time this restaurant was involved with one of the events and had catering, with shrimp and grits, mac and cheese, meatballs, and crabcakes, which were all amazing. I wish I could've eaten more but most of their foods are on the heavier side. My favorite was definitely the shrimp and grits. The second time here, I ordered in and had the Union gumbo for about $24. It's a bit on the saltier and smokier side, and the shredded chicken is a bit on the drier side, but still pretty good especially when you mix in everything including the sauce and the rice with sausage. The servers were nice and were on top of refilling our waters. Overall not a bad spot to come by once in awhile.

Good service, nice atmosphere, good food. We were in the area and decided to stop in to have some dinner. My husband had their vegan burger he said it was good. I had the bacon and tomato flat bread it was good. The food was cooked well and seasoned well

We stopped by for lunch after a recommendation from our tour guide. Our waitress was so sweet. I'm not good with names but she has freckles and warm eyes. She was attentive and personable. Always checked on us to ensure our visit was good. The food was tasty. I had an order of their sweet potato fries and my husband had the Union burger. He mentioned the patty was seasoned well and it was juicy while being made to order. Highly suggest this restaurant.
